Staying Ahead of the Curve: How Momentum Academy Adapts to Bubble’s Rapid Growth

Earlier this year, I embarked on a massive project: recording over 50 hours of detailed Bubble tutorials for the Momentum Academy Bootcamp. It was an exciting opportunity to help students take their first steps into the world of no-code development and learn the ins and outs of building apps with Bubble.
But here’s the twist: This project quickly became both a blessing and a curse.
You see, as I was recording these in-depth videos, something unexpected happened. Bubble—one of the most popular no-code platforms out there—was making major improvements. As with any tech company that’s always evolving, Bubble was rolling out significant updates, particularly in their “developer experience” features. These changes were fantastic for the overall user experience but presented an interesting challenge for me and the team at Momentum Academy.
The Challenge: The Bubble editor didn’t look the same after just a few months. And as anyone who has ever tried to learn a tool through video content knows, a slight shift in the interface can cause confusion. Imagine learning a complex tool like Bubble, and then suddenly, key buttons, menus, or design layouts are in different places.
For students who were following along with the old version of the editor, the new features and changes could have led to frustration. After all, it’s not easy to pick up a tool when your tutorial shows one thing, but your editor looks different.
The Blessing of Bubble’s Progress
On the flip side, this constant improvement from Bubble is a blessing for anyone using the platform. It means that Bubble is listening to its community and constantly improving the user experience, making it even more powerful, intuitive, and efficient.
Each update introduced better ways to handle complex workflows, new tools for designers, and faster deployment options—all features that make building apps easier for developers of all skill levels. It’s the kind of progress that’s great for users but can be tough for those of us creating learning materials.
The Plan to Keep Momentum Academy Up to Date
At Momentum Academy, we understand that staying up to date with these changes is vital. When you’re learning a new tool like Bubble, it’s crucial that you’re not just learning the theory and logic of app building but also working with the most current version of the platform. This is where our strategy kicks in.
We’re committed to making sure our course materials are always aligned with the latest version of Bubble. But let’s be real for a second—recording 50+ hours of video is no small task, and updating them as soon as the platform changes is even more challenging.
So, we’ve created a plan that goes beyond simply recording content once and forgetting about it. Here’s how we stay on top of Bubble’s ongoing updates:
• Regular Updates and Re-recording: Our team continually monitors Bubble’s updates and features. As soon as new features are released that could impact the learning experience, we re-record portions of the bootcamp to reflect these changes.
• Course Addendums: Rather than overhauling everything at once, we add addendums and bonus lessons to ensure students have access to the latest functionality without waiting for an entirely new course release. This keeps the learning experience fresh and relevant.
• Live Webinars and Q&A Sessions: With our bootcamp, students have direct access to real-time support. We host regular live sessions where we walk through new features, explain how they work, and answer any questions that come up. This interaction helps our students stay in the loop even when things change quickly.
• Beta Testing and Community Feedback: Momentum Academy actively engages with the Bubble community. We get direct feedback from users who’ve been experimenting with the new features, which helps us understand exactly how changes are affecting the app-building process. This real-world feedback ensures we’re not just teaching theory but actual, hands-on, up-to-date practices.
Making Learning as Easy as Possible
At Momentum Academy, we don’t just want to teach you how to build an app on Bubble. We want you to master the tool and feel confident using it for real-world projects. That means keeping our tutorials fresh and relevant as Bubble continues to evolve.
Whether it’s adjusting to new UI changes, adopting new workflows, or taking advantage of new features, we’ve got it covered. We’re committed to ensuring that students never feel left behind as the platform grows and improves.
Learning Bubble with Momentum Academy means you’ll always be learning on the cutting edge. So, if you’re thinking about diving into the world of no-code development, you can trust that you’ll be guided by up-to-date, accurate, and effective content.
Final Thoughts
We love the constant improvements that Bubble brings to the table. It’s a platform that evolves to meet the needs of its community, and we’re proud to be part of that journey. At Momentum Academy, we’re equally committed to making sure you stay ahead of the curve, no matter how quickly Bubble changes.
So, if you’re ready to start learning and building with Bubble, know that we’ve got your back. You’ll be learning from a curriculum that evolves as fast as the platform itself, ensuring that your skills are always up-to-date and in-demand.
Let’s build something amazing together! 💡🚀
Where this story went
We spent five years mastering Bubble. Now we build with AI.
Momentum was one of the world's leading Bubble.io agencies — that's why we wrote this article. These days we build and migrate the same kinds of products with Claude Code: real, portable code your own team can amend with AI. If you're weighing up a move off Bubble (or any platform), we've made the journey ourselves.
