Will Ericksson from Momentum Academy joins the Bubble.io Certification committee in 2024

It’s my privilege and honour to be part of this committee in 2024.

Participating will enable me to contribute my experience as an agency owner/developer and academy director/mentor to have input into this important initiative.

For Bubble developers, the Bubble developer certification is an important credibility indicator that is worth adding to your profile.

For hiring managers, candidates possessing the Bubble developer certification should be prioritised over those without it, assuming the role is primarily for a Bubble developer.

The test itself is challenging (my observations here), and demonstrates that successful candidates have a strong hands-on knowledge of Bubble that can only be gained through extensive experience. By extensive, I estimate they would need to have 9–12 months of full time work on challenging projects at a minimum.

The other advantage of certification is that like most Tech qualifications, it is an evolving skill set. As such, developers are required to re-certify every 12 months, and agencies are required to maintain a high percentage of certified developers to maintain their agency profile.

In the last 18 months, Bubble has added important features that developers need to remain current in, e.g. the responsive engine, version control, pricing/workload, and soon to be native mobile support.

These efforts are part of Bubble’s efforts to increase the quality of the Bubble ecosystem and thus increase adoption of the platform across a wide range of industries.
