Bubble.io reaches 2 million users

I’ve been waiting for this moment for a long time…

Ok well, maybe not that long. Last July, I published a short article celebrating Bubble’s 1 million user milestone.
11 months later, here I go again!
But what does it all mean?
My colleagues at Bubble tell me there is a lot of focus on conversion rate in Bubble HQ right now.
That is, how many users become paying users.
And how do they go from being on the lower plans to the higher plans?
And rightly so. With a significant amount of investment under their belt and a vision to grow, Bubble must be asking “how is our business model looking?”.
My Analysis
Bubble is a phenomenal tool.
I’ve said it before — it has changed my life — and I’m nowhere near done yet… I’m just getting started!!!

I’m building a global product agency using Bubble as our core tool for client projects…
AND
…I’m building out our own internal tooling on Bubble to deliver consistent quality and project management, in order to scale what we are doing — as well as to build many more amazing tech products in the future.
So what’s the catch? Why is that hard to sell?
Building Web Apps is really really hard. That’s why it’s a great thing to be good at.
Learning Bubble is easier than becoming a full-stack dev… but it’s still hard. It still takes time, learning, and investment in yourself.
Do you want to build a web app? Should you learn Bubble? Yes, 100 times! But be prepared for a journey, not a sprint.
Should you hire someone else to do it for you? That’s another good option. Just make sure they are good.
How do you know they are good? Great question (more here). The difference between a bad dev and a great one can be 10x (a great dev can be 10x more valuable than a bad one for your project! Maybe more). There is an undersupply of great Bubble devs. Great Bubble Devs ask for high rates. And they’re worth it because they can accomplish 5–10 times what a junior full-stack dev can, assuming the project is a good fit for Bubble. There’s no comparison.
Bubble needs to:
- Make it easier to learn (though I’m not sure this is really possible…sometimes in life you’ve just got to learn stuff, even if it’s hard)
- Make it easier to do good-looking, quality work (better templates and plugins are a viable solution here)
- Encourage more professional Developers to adopt Bubble. They will be the ones that use the tool to its full potential.
Conclusion
Bubble is amazing, and if you want to experience these benefits in your business without learning it for yourself, my business MomentumGroup.tech is here to help.

Where this story went
We spent five years mastering Bubble. Now we build with AI.
Momentum was one of the world's leading Bubble.io agencies — that's why we wrote this article. These days we build and migrate the same kinds of products with Claude Code: real, portable code your own team can amend with AI. If you're weighing up a move off Bubble (or any platform), we've made the journey ourselves.
