What is an AI manager?

How is an AI manager different from automation tools like Zapier?
Traditional automation moves data when triggers fire; it can't read context or exercise judgement. An AI manager reads the actual emails, understands the state of a relationship or a ledger, writes like a person, and knows when something is unusual enough to bring to you.
What keeps it from doing something it shouldn't?
Guardrails we build in from day one: outward-facing actions are draft-only until a human approves, access is scoped to what the process needs, and every run leaves an audit trail. Autonomy is earned one process at a time, not granted up front.
Where do businesses usually start?
The highest-drudgery process with the clearest rules — typically invoice chasing, daily status assembly, or a compliance/renewal register. One process proves the pattern in a couple of weeks; then you extend it.
Do we need technical staff to maintain it?
No. We build it, document it, and train whoever owns the process. Because it's built with Claude Code on your own accounts, changes are made by asking the AI — or asking us; we stay a phone call away.
